From my first school Shop Class, I knew that working with my hands to create things was my passion. To take a block of wood or a piece of metal and produce something creative, that was useful and could be enjoyed by others, gave me incredible satisfaction. Inspired by my Dad’s talents and tutelage, I have been a wood and metal maker for 45+ years. I’ve had the pleasure early in my career to be able to pass on my passion as a vocational teacher, teaching high school age students to work with their hands and create projects while learning a trade that would bring great joy and satisfaction, and enable them to provide for their families, as I have done.
For the past 45 years, I’ve created custom wood and metal furniture and home decor items. There is nothing more satisfying than to create a product and hear from your client that you exceeded their expectations and witness their excitement and joy from your creation.
I am thankful for the privilege of creating items that delight my clients, be it a simple cutting board or piece of custom furniture. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you to create a unique piece that is both useful and makes you happy.

I aspire to capture images - new and old favorites - which evoke feelings of joy and serenity… a deserted beach, big sky, summer flowers, an enduring East End or coastal landmark. These are the views that invite me to pause, smile and just breathe.
I endeavor to bring treasured scenes to life and make them accessible regardless of season or viewer’s location.
Capturing favorite images has been an organic response since childhood.
I remember photographing Montauk Lighthouse with my treasured Brownie camera,
and painting it over and over at the dining room table. The beautiful seascapes near my Sag Harbor home and in other travels inspire me. The myriad blues and greens of the sea and sky are compelling. I’m drawn to iconic structures, unique to coastal areas: windmills, lighthouses, barns, shacks and farms. I’m also interested in exploring more abstract takes on these treasured subjects.
I love creating pieces that make my favorite sights and impressions, and the visceral responses they evoke, available to anyone - anywhere - anytime.
Education
Since 2005, I’ve been fortunate to study with Casey Chalem Anderson and Edwina Lucas, and learn through workshops with Ben Fenske, Barbara Groot, Lois Bender and Barbara Thomas.
